JOURNEY TO THE WILD WOMAN
Thursday, October 24-Sunday, October 27, 2024
Sunriver, OR
A transformational retreat for menopausal and perimenopausal women seeking to reclaim their power, confidence, and inner wildness.
Reclaim Your Power
Break free from societal expectations and embrace your menopausal journey as a symbol of strength and wisdom. The menopause transition is a powerful time in a woman’s life, marked by decreasing estrogen and progesterone. Perimenopause and postmenopause can feel like puberty in reverse—hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, and decreased sex drive can leave many women feeling isolated in their experience.
Journey to the Wild Woman is here to change that.
During this 4-day retreat, you will gain a deeper understanding of this transformative time with the guidance of three knowledgeable facilitators and the support of a community of women.
Dr. Evelin, Mel, and Eleanor will compassionately guide you through an exploration of your menopause journey, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Menopause and sexual health physician Dr. Evelin will share the essential knowledge you need for long-term health and vitality. Mel will help you craft your personal "Wild Woman User Manual," unlocking the most vibrant version of yourself. Eleanor will use art, storytelling, and ritual to awaken your spirit. Together, we will gently rewrite the menopause journey from one of loss and discomfort to a reclamation of your powerful, authentic self.
In this intimate circle of connection with other women, you will better understand your body and its rhythms. You will learn to listen to its whispers and come away with a renewed awareness of what it means to be fully alive.
Holistic mind/body medical education
Evelin Dacker, MD: Empowering education on menopausal physiology, sexuality, hormones desire, sexual difficulties/dysfunction, and long-term vitality.
Writing practices for self-awareness and personal growth
Mel Moseley, MA: Write Your Own User Manual to help better understand your inner workings and define your needs and desires for this next phase in your life journey.
Body-based practices for sex and creativity
Eleanor O’Brien, MFA: With a background in how to tap into sexual energy as fuel for creative projects, Eleanor brings decades of storytelling to the workshop. Through the process of creating ritual and making art, she will guide us through the journey of self-expression and play. As a facilitator in “pussy liberation,” Eleanor helps us discover and love the parts of ourselves often left hidden.
This retreat will include vulva mapping and yoni storytelling to ignite your inner flame and reconnect with your body. There will be no sexual or sensual exchange of touch.
Leave behind the constraints of society's expectations and embark on a journey of unbridled self-expression. Reclaim your wild, your sensual, and your powerful. You are the Wild Woman, and it's time to unleash her!

Gender
Is this retreat also for genderqueer, gender-fluid, and nonbinary folks who are experiencing the menopause transition?
Yes! We are committed to having an inclusive approach in all of our work. That being said, we will be deconstructing our personal experiences throughout our lives being raised as cis-women. There are societal gender constructs that influence how we experience menopause and the impacts on our sexuality and health that are specific to people raised as women. Consider if you would feel comfortable and safe exploring these issues in a female-focused, vulva-oriented environment. If so, we would love for you to join us.
We are happy to address any specific questions or concerns you may have.
